Baseline Testing for Athletes
Did you know the CDC recommends all contact-sport athletes over the age of 10 complete a baseline test annually?
Dr. Mason McCloskey will work your athlete through a series of physical and cognitive tests that give us an overview of their healthy brain function.
This baseline information provides us with solid benchmarks to compare when diagnosing a potential concussion.
As concussion symptoms often disappear days to weeks before the brain has recovered, having this information can help us make more informed return-to-play decisions.

After completing the baseline test, patients can access the CCMI Concussion Tracker smartphone app to view their results. The app supports safer return-to-sport decisions for young athletes as it captures and shares an athlete’s concussion status in real time. Coaches and athletic trainers can also have access to the app to better manage their player’s health.
If you think your athlete has already suffered a concussion, we offer evidence-based concussion diagnosis and management.
