We offer a full complement of Chiropractic services to our patients in the Anchorage area, utilizing many different Chiropractic techniques to restore your body to optimal health and condition.
Our approach is to listen carefully and ask you questions to help us rule in and rule out causes of your symptoms. Having this better understanding of your body’s current state allows for a more thorough and individual treatment plan.
If you are a new patient at Kanady Chiropractic, a typical visit includes an in-depth intake form, followed by X-rays to give our doctors a clear view of what’s going on inside your body. Your doctor will then perform a thorough examination. Every patient visiting our office will be seen by Dr. Kanady or Dr. McCloskey. We do not utilize assistants when it comes to your visits.
All of our Chiropractic treatment plans work in concert with the other services we provide. The plans are as unique as you are and may include a combination of manual or handheld adjustments along with IDD Therapy (decompression), heat, traction, Class IV Laser or other treatments like massage therapy.
Our treatment plan doesn’t stop when you leave Kanady Chiropractic though. We make sure to provide you with an at-home plan to compliment the progress you make in our clinic.
Whether you need Adjustments, IDD Therapy, Heat, Traction, Electrical Stimulation or other treatments, we offer a clear and direct path toward your highest health and well-being. Schedule an appointment today or contact us at (907) 272-2700.
Chiropractic Treatment Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT CONDITIONS CAN BE TREATED WITH CHIROPRACTIC TREATMENT?
Our chiropractors diagnose and treat a large variety every day aches and pains as well as complicated conditions requiring advanced diagnosis and treatment. Chiropractors are Primary Care Physicians who perform a physical and neurological exam during your first visit which helps us accurately diagnose your condition. Our in-house X-ray system affords us the ability to set up a treatment plan to bring our patients relief from pain as quickly as possible.
Some conditions are successfully treated by our services, including back strains, sprains and aches, headaches, neck pain, pain from sitting, degenerative disc disease (DDD), herniated discs, muscle pain, pinched nerves including sciatica, pain resulting from leg length differences, arthritis, whiplash and work-related injuries.
Our honest consultation service allows you to make an informed decision about your health and well-being. We never encourage you to receive our treatments if we don’t believe it’s the best way to help you heal and feel great again. For those rare issues that our range of services don’t help, we gladly recommend the services of others to help you on your path to recovery.
IS TREATMENT PAINFUL?
Chiropractic is rarely painful. Dr. Kanady and Dr. McCloskey have many years of experience in treating patients, and the techniques used are modern, comfortable and pain-free. Most of our patients find our treatment to be a pleasant experience, and in many cases, are walking out of our office with immediate improvement from their pain problems.
Some Chiropractic adjustments require quick movements, and some utilize slow and gentle pressure to get your body back on track. Chiropractic is one of the safest forms of treatment from painful conditions.
WHAT TIME COMMITMENT IS REQUIRED FOR TREATMENT?
With Kanady Chiropractic, you can expect timely attention during your visit. Our office staff keeps your time waiting at a minimum, and your treatment is handled directly by one of our doctors. As a result, you can expect quality attention and treatment during your visit with us.
Most appointments for treatment last between 15-60 minutes. We do our best to keep you moving along, but we won’t rush your treatment or undercut the value of your treatment. By focusing on doing things right, and giving our patients quality attention and care, we create the best conditions and circumstances for your pain to go away, and to return to the lifestyle that you love.
MISCELLANEOUS EXTRAS
As you continue to improve, your doctors will prescribe a treatment plan that includes home exercises to strengthen your back. This will include using a Theraball and a Home Inversion Unit. If you have any questions prior to or during treatment, please don’t ever hesitate to ask. We are here to help you achieve optimal health.
