Dr. Tim Kanady was raised in Anchorage, Alaska, graduating from Dimond High School. After completing his undergraduate studies at Lewis & Clark College in Oregon, he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa, the founding college of Chiropractic.
Dr. Kanady opened the doors of Kanady Chiropractic together with his wife Lynn in 1988. Their son, Shane, was born on opening day and their daughter, Paige, followed two years later. Shane is now a practicing attorney in Anchorage and Paige serves as Special Projects Administrator at the clinic.
Dr. Kanady has had the pleasure of being very active in a profession he is so passionate about. He has served as President of the Palmer College of Chiropractic Alumni Association for Alaska and President of the Alaska Chiropractic Society (ACS). He actively serves on the Board of Directors for ACS.
Dr. Kanady is a firm believer in the science behind chiropractic. He prides himself on continuously updating his education and experience to provide patients with the most cutting-edge care available. He completed an advanced training program to become one of the first Alaskan Chiropractors to be a certified practitioner in Chiropractic BioPhysics – the most researched and scientifically based technique available.
As an avid outdoorsman, Dr. Kanady has participated in the IronDog snowmachine race and enjoys spending time at his “duck shack” at the base of Mt. Susitna. No matter the season, he loves “his” Alaska.
