Chiropractic Physician

Dr. Tim Kanady was raised in Anchorage, Alaska, graduating from Dimond High School. After completing his undergraduate studies at Lewis & Clark College in Oregon, he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa, the founding college of Chiropractic.

Dr. Kanady and his wife Lynn opened Kanady Chiropractic in 1988. Their son, Shane, was born on opening day and their daughter, Paige, followed three years later. Shane is now a practicing attorney in Anchorage and Paige works remotely for the practice.

Dr. Kanady is a firm believer in the science behind chiropractic. He prides himself on continuously updating his education, experience and equipment to provide patients with the most cutting-edge care available.

He completed an advanced training program to become one of the first Alaskan Chiropractors to be a certified practitioner in Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP) – the most researched and scientifically based technique available.

Dr. Kanady has had the pleasure of being very active in a profession he is so passionate about. He is honored to currently serve the state as a Governor-appointed member of the Chiropractic Board of Examiners. He has served as President of the Palmer College of Chiropractic Alumni Association for Alaska and as President of the Alaska Chiropractic Society (ACS). He actively serves on the Board of Directors for ACS.

An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Kanady has participated in the Iron Dog snowmachine race and enjoys spending time at his “duck shack” at the base of Mt. Susitna. No matter the season, he loves “his” Alaska.
